Basic Blogging Tutorial for Beginners

   As many people don't know about blogging or if someone have information then they don't know how to do blogging or how blogging works. So i decided to share beginners tutorial for blogging. You have three options to start blogging.

1. Free (Blogger.com, Wordpress.com, Tumblr)
2. Commercial (Square Space)
3. Self-Hosted (Wordpress.org, Joomla, Drupal)

 So these are blogger platforms which you can join. If you can spend some money for hosting and domain then wordpress will be right option but if you are not willing to do so then blogger is the best choice for you to start  your blog.

What is blogger? (Introduction)

 As this is tutorial for blogger so it is must to give little information about blog. Blogger is a free publishing tool by Google where you can start posting what you want to post. You can make blog on any topic of your choice. You can post information, images, videos, links and much more.

Starting With blogger

 So it's time to start blogging. All you need is a Gmail account to start and it is essential to start blogging. If you  don't have then Sign Up. So make assure to have a Gmail account and then Login to Blogger.com. You can  make unlimited blogs on one Gmail account. Once you login to you new blog there you will see the option of  New Blog. Click on New Blog then pop-up window will appear. You have to enter your blog name/title for your  blog and blog address. You have to select unique address. So if you got the message of "This blog address is unavailable" then keep trying to choose unique blog address.

Dashboard

 Well now you have created your blog and click on it and enter in your new blog. After clicking you will be basically in you blogger dashboard. You will perform all taks from here. It's a place from where you  manage your whole blog. Blogger Dashboard interface is very simple to learn and understand. Dashboard  lies in left vertical side bar and as a blogging beginner i am sure you will find it easy to use and understand.  Ok after getting in your blog you will see the feature of dashboard. On the right hand there will be update of your blog including your blog comments, blog posts, pageviews, and followers. Below this you can see the useful links for your guide to blogger, you should read them they will be handy. In the middle there will be pageviews of your blog. and below you can watch the top traffic sources of your blog. And on right hand side there are options to mange and run your blog. We will discuss them below.

Making Of Your First Post To Blogger

  So the question raised there that what types of post we should do on blogger? Its simple you can post what you want to post like posting related to study, health, entertainment, insurance, cars etc. Now question comes How to post? and where to post? So its simple guys. After getting into blog watch on right-top of your blog dashboard. There you can watch the button labelled as "New Post". So go with it. After Clicking on "New Post" you will be now on post Editor Screen as show in image below.

  Here on the left you will see the Compose & HTML for your Post. As you are beginner so i recommend you to stay on compose option. In title you have to write well Post title which should be relevant what you are posting. And below explain your post with text,images, videos, images and links that's all up to you.

 Below the post title you can watch content editor. From content editor you can choose font style,color,size etc and can add images,links etc. In the right, you can see the Publish,Save,Preview,Close options. When you completed the post you can publish and it goes live. Save option saves your post. Now come to preview option. It is very important. During creating a post you should must have to use this option which will show you that how's your post look like to the user when it come's to your blog. Means it will show you live version of your post. So make use of it and made awesome post on blog.

Add Pages

      So the next thing to learn is pages. Here you can see Home page as default but sometimes maybe not and you can add as many pages you want to add but they should be relevant. For example you can add about page, contact page etc. You can adjust pages arrangment by just dragging and dropping one by one and you can set them that top tabs or side links.

Layout & Template Designer

   So now after learning how to post on blogger this time to learn blogger layout. Layout means design. In layout option you can manage and arrange your blogger gadgets means you can set layout/design. You can add as many gadgets as much you want but please avoid irrelevant gadgets. Because they annoy user and make loads on your blog. It is just simple to add gadget on your blog. Just click on "Add Gadget" and add what you want you will see many gadgets there. You can not remove "Powered by Blogger" from there.After arranging you can watch the preview of your blog. 

   Click on Template Designer and further you can see their plenty of options to customize your blog theme and design. You can choose different background colors and change your blogs width, font styles, and much more and you can watch live preview of your blog for mobile and desktop.

Blog Settings

   Now open the "Settings" option in your blog. First of all you will see the basic settings of your blog. So now you can edit title, description, address of your blog from here and you can add admins and authors to your blog from here.

  Now navigate on "Posts and Comments" option of your blog settings. You can adjust settins of posts and comments from here. You can set that how much posts should be on your Home Page. You can set who can comment on your blog and you can on verification for comments and moderation. You can set language and time zone and some other settings of yours blog. You can set robots.txt, import and export blog. Except settings you can add custom template to your blog and can add Google Analytics to track visitors of your blog.  But as you know that this was blogging tutorial for beginners so these are not necessary for you now.
